BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod Respiratory Outpatient (BRO) Center has extended its free consultation hours from 8 AM to 12 noon to the whole day from 8 AM to 4 PM.
City Administrator Em Ang said the BRO Center will be the catchment area for patients showing early signs of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) or influenza-like symptoms.
The BRO Center will also offer free swab tests for individuals having influenza-like illness.
Ang said persons especially pregnant women showing Covid-19 symptoms are encouraged to seek consultation at the BRO, because the City Health Office (CHO) no longer accommodates such patients.
Ang added that “patient traffic will be lesser in emergency rooms and outpatient department in hospitals” with BRO center in place.
The respiratory center has a triage area, 10 separate consultation rooms, a laboratory collection room, and a mobile x-ray machine.
The BRO Center is located inside Bacolod Arts Youth and Sports (BAYS) Center at San Juan Street.
