More OFWs are expected to arrive in the coming days, especially with the directive of President Duterte earlier giving the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Department of Health, and the Department of Labor and Employment one week to facilitate the return of 24,000 OFWs to their respective home provinces, towns, or cities.
The Department of Interior and Local Government has also given LGUs and regional and provincial offices three days – starting 25 to 27 of May – to accommodate and facilitate the unhampered transport of OFWs.
