Bacolod issues E.O. on no-movement dates

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia has signed an Executive Order on implementing guidelines for Oplan: One Time Big Time program.

This time, “no movement” dates would be on 28 to 31 August 2020, with exemptions.

Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran, who heads the city InterAgency Task Force, has been designated TF commander on mass testing.

The Bacolod City Health Office, barangay heads, the IATF, the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams, and the Bacolod Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office will draft plans, and procedures in choosing those included for mass testing.

Border check-up points will be installed to lenforce the “no movement” policy.

The PNP and anti-crime volunteers (force multipliers) will be deployed in health centers to help ensure maintenance of public health and safety.

The following are exempted: cargo deliveries carrying essential goods and supplies; those requiring treatment; residents included in testing; officials and employees in all levels and branches, especially those serving in testing centers;

medical frontliners, and health workers; public transportation with franchises including Grab cars, rent-a-car, tricycles, land taxis plying city streets;

drivers of vehicles transporting people working in essential industries; media, and private security guards;

priests and religious ministers administering last rites; personnel of funeral homes and crematorium; personnel in restaurants (delivery and takeout);

personnel who need to work in hotels, pension houses and accommodations that serve as quarantine facilities for OFWs; personnel of essential services, and industries.

Businesses not included shall remain closed on 28 to 31 August 2020, except public markets which shall be closed on 28 to 29 August 2020.
