Bacolod has 1:5 functional bed to active case ratio

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines — Bacolod City has a 1:5 functional bed to active case ratio, based from the latest records from both the Bacolod City PIO, and the Department of Health Western Visayas revealed.

Data from Bacolod City PIO show that currently, the number of functional beds from seven hospitals is 201.  “Functional beds” means the actual number of patients it can tend to, as opposed to actual bed capacity.

As of press time, 23 September 2020, Bacolod has 1,025 active cases, 1,018 of which are local.

This means that the functional bed to active case ratio is at one to five.

The Bacolod City PIO report that as of 6:47 p.m. today data from the seven hospitals show there are 154 admitted CoViD patients, with 47 available CoViD beds, as well as 589 committed health care workers.

A more updated data as of 8 pm, however, show, that 87 of the active cases are currently admitted in a private facility, with 399 facility-quarantined, 245 home quarantined, and 287 still being verified.

There are 58 new cases as of 23 September 2020, with 208 recoveries, and zero deaths.
