Bacolod City College turns silver, gets P350M worth of facilities

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – State-run Bacolod City College has opened to public use its P350 million worth of facilities today, 5 May 2022 in time for its silver anniversary.

BCC last April just celebrated its 25th founding anniversary as the institution aims for “ONE BCC, ONE CAMPUS”.

The inauguration and ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who chairs the board of trustees, Councilor Renecito Novero who heads the city council’s education committee, and College administrator, Ma. Johanna Ann Bayoneta.

The ceremony was also graced by various stake holders, members of the BOT and Grupo Progreso.

The Commission on Education last year granted BCC an institutional recognition which will allow graduates to be acknowledged and recognized by employers around the world through their diplomas.

The BCC site development includes the construction of the activity center that can cater to 1,000 people and a fully airconditioned gym.
