BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Sixteen local government units in Negros Occidental including Bacolod have declared an extension of the suspension of classes due to heavy rains today.
This was after Negros Occidental was placed under Yellow Rainfall Warning at 5 am and under Orange Rainfall Warning at 8 am.
Bacolod City Hall, through its Public Information Office, said in its advisory that classes are suspended again from pre school to high school.
The rest are: Bago (pre school to secondary levels); Escalante (all levels); Kabankalan (all levels); La Carlota (preschool to Grade 12); San Carlos (all levels); Silay (all levels); Talisay (all levels); Victorias (all levels) Binalbagan (all levels); Calatrava (all levels); EB Magalona (all levels); Isabela (all levels); and Murcia (all levels).
Work in government offices has also been suspended by Kabankalan Mayor Benjie Miranda.
