BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Department of Migrant Workers’ (DMV) Special Overseas Job Fair on 21 July 2022 at the Social Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, Bacolod City will possibly be joined by 15 firms, according to Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Dr. Sharon Juance.
Juance said that the fair targeted 15 licensed firms by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), now named as DMV under Act No. 11641, which the following 8 have already confirmed to grace the event:
- J-M-H Int’l Manpower Agency
- Bison Management Corp.
- 21st Century Manpower Resources Inc. (For. Nursing Int’l.)
- Lead Resources Management Corp.
- Placewell International Services Corporation
- Zontar
- Gulf Horizon
- Phil-Apex
The event is “open for everyone” who are interested to join and will happen from 9:00am to 5:00pm for all interested applicants in which they are encouraged to bring their resume or bio-data, copy of their valid passport, and other credentials.
“Dako ni sya nga opportunity for those nga na retrench, nga nawad-an obra sa overseas nga ginpapuli sa aton nga probinsya” she said.
Those who will be hired by the firms will have the chance to work out of the country.
Juance added that on 20 July, DMV will do technical briefing for Capitol employees on their job fair system and eRegistration system that requires those planning to work abroad to sign up for an account.
She expressed the importance on the establishment of DMV as she said is meant to focus on the “welfare, needs, and requests of our migrant workers.”
