12-hour power interruption in Silay on Sunday

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers connected to Panaogao Feeders that maintenance activities will be conducted on 25 October 2020 Sunday, from 6 am to 6 pm.

Areas affected are those under Panaogao Substation, including PF1, namely Mc Kinley Road (from Silay substation to Silay Airport).

Others are PF2,  from Panao-gao Substation to McKinley Gomez, Sta. Theresa Academy, Silay Institute, Equitable Bank, Ice Plant, CENECO (SFO), Sea View Subd., Highway (StaTheresita – Sea View), Sitio Dacutan Dacu, Hofilenia Subd., Carmela Valley Silay, Hda. Consolacion, Brgy. Guinhalaran, Sea View, Buen Retiro, Major part of Silay Proper, Brgy. Mambulak. Gomez St., Zamora St.;

areas under Lopez Feeder 1 Caneland (AIDSISA), Mansiguinon, Lantawan, Brgy. Guimbalaon, Brgy. Kapitan Ramon, Brgy. Patag, E. Lopez, Hda. Pula, Hda. Napilas 2, Sitio Hiyang2x, Tayap Proper, Patag, Hda. Caridad, Hda. Maria Conception, Hda. Camantero 3, Hda. Qinalatan;

Lopez Feeder 2, including Provincial Hospital, portion of Silay St., Olaybar St., Villa Hergon, Villa Hergon Phase 2, Had. Matagoy, Burgos St. Bonifacio St;

and Lopez Feeder 3 which are Hawaiian Central, Silay, Brgy. Balaring, SitioBungol, SitioMambag-id, SitioBeraño, portion of Brgy. Lantad.

Reasons are preventive maintenance and servicing of 10MVA power transformer in Panaogao Substation; line clearing activities in Silay Coverage Area (LF1, LF2, LF3, PF1, PF2); replacement of 69kV Transmission Line pole for safety; and replacement of distribution rotten poles on PF1, PF2 for safety.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons.

When electricity supply resumes, they are to provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
