BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit Chief, Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato said most of those recently nabbed in buybust operations are young men, as they too have monitored minors being used by dealers to sell illegal drugs.
He added that the recent confiscation of P4 million worth of suspected shabu in Tanguige sub-village in Barangay 1 last night 9 February 2023 was the biggest so far this year.
The anti-illegal drugs operation of CDEU has led to the arrest of two High Valued Individuals.
Nabbed were Jhonie Cabrillos, 27 and Eric Aguirre, 22.
The police also said that they have monitored minors selling drugs in the city. This is because children are easier to be manipulated and will not end up in jail if caught.
When asked if they are currently monitoring ‘big fish’, Mogato said they have received reports about people allegedly supplying drugs in the city, although these too, need to be verified.
