BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) has granted MV Weesam Express 6 the provisional authority to operate in the Iloilo- Bacolod and vice versa route for a period of one month from 31 October to 30 November 2020.
Starting tomorrow, 31 October, the MV Weesam Express 6 will have daily trips from Iloilo to Bacolod at 11:30 AM departure time and 12:45 PM arrival time and Bacolod to Iloilo at 3:30 PM departure time and 4:45 PM arrival time.
Marina has mandated the operator to comply with the minimum health protocols such as but not limited to wearing of face masks and physical and social distancing measures between and among the ship’s officers, crew and passengers.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia has issued Executive Order No. 67, allowing the resumption of travel between Bacolod and Iloilo cities.
Sea travel between both cities had been halted for several months due to the spike of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.
