BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Luxury buffet chain Viking’s-Bacolod, and sister restaurants Tong Yang Plus and Four Seasons, have joined private sector efforts here in supporting frontliners who are manning checkpoints and other essential services as the simultaneous Enhanced Community Quarantine of the city and provincial governments reaches its second week today.

Viking’s-Bacolod, in a press release, said it has distributed more than 5,300 food packs or 450 a day from March 19 until yesterday to five service areas here and in Bago City.
Daily, more than half, 240, are delivered to those manning checkpoints in Bacolod, 60 to Bacolod City Health, 40 to the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, 100 to the Pulupandan Rural Health Unit, and 10 to BDO-Bago City.

The food distribution campaign is headed by operations managers of the three restaurants – Wilson Tan for Viking’s, Amanda Betito for Four Seasons, and Raquel Tan for Tong Yang Plus.
