The center of Tropical Storm Siony is forecast to continue moving west-northwestward or northwestward today through tonight before it slows down significantly and becomes almost stationary tomorrow morning through Wednesday morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
Siony will begin tracking west-southwestward or westward towards Extreme Northern Luzon.
The projected erratic movement of this system in the next 48 hours, however, makes it Siony’s movement hard to predict.
The trough of tropical storm Siony will bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Batanes, Cagayan, and Isabela.
Flooding (including flashfloods) and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards. PAGASA Regional Services Divisions may issue local thunderstorm/rainfall advisories and heavy rainfall warnings as appropriate.
