BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police are still probing the reported suicide incident around 4pm today, the first inside Ayala Capitol Central here, that claimed the life of a man.
Local police spokesperson, Lt. Ma. Liberty Indiape, said the victim based on the initial probe as of legal age, a resident of Nami-Nami 1 sub-village in Sum-ag village here.
DNX is withholding his name upon the police’s request.
Police Station 2 probers said the victim jumped from the fourth floor of the mall and was injured as a result of hitting the floor below.
He was rushed to a nearby government hospital but doctors said he died of his injuries.
A suicide note was reported to have been among those found on his body.
This is the third reported suicide inside a mall, the two others in 2016 and 2018, all inside SM City Bacolod.
