VICTORIAS CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Negrense actress Sue Ramirez attended the inaugural of her boyfriend and now Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez, at the city’ s Sports and Amusement Center here last night, 29 June 2022.
Ramirez expressed her pride for her boyfriend knowing that he has been wating to officially sit down as the mayor of his hometown.
Along with Sue, the new Victorias City mayor was accompanied by his parents Nikki and Albee Benitez, and his sister, Bettina during his oath-taking.
After his inaugural speech, the younger Benitez thanked his mom and Sue by presenting them with flower bouquets.
Sue told reporters Javi’s term shall be the “legit” change Victoriahanons have been waiting for.
Sue also remembered how she stayed beside Benitez all through out the campaign period as she described it as a “relief” now that Javi can finally do what he wants to do for the people of Victorias.
When asked if she has decided to move to Victorias, an apparently amused Sue that she’s based in Manila and pointed out she’s not married yet to dwell on those matters.
Javi Benitez took his oath before his uncle, Third District Congressman Francisco “Kiko” Benitez.
Javi is the 29th and youngest mayor of the city.
