BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Western Visayas office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 6 has released P22.7 million in Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program educational assistance pay out in the whole region as of 27 August.
Negros Occidental had the second most number of beneficiaries after Iloilo with 1,687 recipients – of which 276 are in elementary students, 194 in high school, 226 in senior high, and 991 in college.
The total amount released in the province has reached P5.3 million.
Elementary students under this program will receive P1,000, high school (P2,000), senior high school (P3,000), and college and vocational (P4,000).
Next pay out schedule for Negros Occidental beneficiaries will be on September 10, 17 and 24.
