BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers that maintenance activities will be conducted tomorrow 30 September, Wednesday in certain areas in Bacolod, resulting in a six-hour power outage.
Power interruption will be experienced from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in portions of MF4 namely Sto. Rosario Subd. and Bata Subd., Bata, as well as portions of MF2 of Buri Road: from Doña Aurora Street to St. Helens Street, Estanzia Subd. and Camella Subd., in Mandalagan.
“This is to ensure reliability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions. Details of this outage are as follows,” the Ceneco advisory said. (READ also: Eight-hour power outage in Alijis scheduled tomorrow)
Maintenance activities include replacement of rotten poles and line clearing along Sto. Rosario St., Sto. Rosario Subd., Brgy. Bata for safety; reconductoring of three-phase primary line along Buri Road for voltage improvement and power reliability; and installation of armor rods to prevent vibration causing damage to distribution lines.
Electricity consumers are advised to turn off electrical switch/es for safety reasons, and provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
