Six-hour power interruption in Granada on Wednesday

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers connected to Burgos Feeder 3 that maintenance activities will be conducted on October 21, Wednesday.

Power in certain areas in Granada will be interrupted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Areas affected are portions of BF3 namely Patricia Homes Subdivision, and Carmela de Bacolod Subdivision, Granada.

“This is to ensure stability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions,” the advisory said.

Reasons are relocation of one 37.5kVA common distribution transformer and installation of one 15kVA distribution transformer for load splitting of load due to overloading.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons.

When electricity supply resumes, they should provide allowance of about 10 for 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
