BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office spokesperson Lt. Abegael Donasco said they will be on full alert next week during the start of the Holy Week.
Donasco added that provincial police are expected to be at full attendance on that week due to the possible influx of churchgoers celebrating the religious feast.
Donasco also said the police also launched the Oplan Summer Vacation or SUMVAC that had started this April until May.
This is in response for security on the celebration of the Holy Week.
Donasco said before deploying personnel, the police will first assess and gauge the situation, as they are considering the security aspect especially on political rivalries and other criminial activities that may occur during the season.
