Political parties urged to support Earth Hour tonight

Political parties are urged to join Earth Hour tonight, at 8:30 to 9:30 during their evening rallies.

Rhoderick Samonte, Climate Reality Leader at Climate Reality, posed a challenge to political bets, saying in his Facebook post, “Demonstrate your environmental agenda by joining the rest of the global community in switching off at 8:30-9:30 pm during your evening rally. Your 60 minutes can make a difference! See you in the dark!”

Earth Hour is observed by advocates every year at 8:30 in the evening, every last Saturday of March, the website earthhour.org said.

“… [S]upporters in over 190 countries and territories unite, taking action on and raising awareness of the issues facing our one home,” the website added.
