BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police have, for the first time in recent years, already identified the source of the P4.3 million worth of suspected meth seized from alleged pusher Ahzer Villarosa in Pahanocoy village here.

That “big fish,” however, is already dead.

Police Major Joerie Puerto, who heads Station 8, told DNX their recent bust, Ahzer Villarosa, told them his supply of meth came from Alex Soberano who also brings in meth or shabu, the poor man’s cocaine, to the province.

Villarosa was busted in a police operation Sunday, 14 August, in Pahanocoy village where police also seized more than half a kilo of suspected shabu worth an estimated street price of P4.3 million.

Soberano, described by police as an “ex detainee and drug convict,” was found dead 31 July in Vista Alegre village here.

He was reportedly abducted after he arrived at the airport in nearby Silay City.

Puerto added Villarosa and Soberano met in a jail here in when Villarosa faced a murder rap while Soberano was charged for violation anti-drug laws.

Puerto said it is possible that this huge amount of drugs is intended to be sold during the celebration of the Masskara festival this October.

He pointed out now that social gatherings have resumed, demand also rises.
