BACOLOD CITY – Police are looking into the usual angles over the slay of a businessman-brother of former city councilor Ricardo Tan who himself was included in what police call as the “PRRD list.”
“It is not only the drug angle we are probing but several others,” local PNP spokesman, Police Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, told DNX after Robert L. Tan was shot by still unidentified killers along CL Montelibano Avenue inside Greensville I Subdivision, Estefania village.
Pico said probers willl also zoom in on other possible motives like personal grudges, business-related conflicts, not only the victim’s inclusion in a list drawn up by President Duterte himself.
Tan is the elder brother of former city Councilor Ricardo “Cano” Tan who himself was named by Duterte as a protector of illegal drugs.
Cano was ambushed while going home with his wife in Alangilan village on 14 December 2018, almost exactly a year ago today.
