The congressman, in his letter addressed to the Philhealth chief, reminded the health insurance corporation that it has signed a memorandum of agreement agreeing to pay the P41 million to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The MOA was signed between representatives of the regional hospital and the health insurance company last 7 July 2020.

The hospital, more than a month later, has still not received a cent of the claim.

It can be recalled that earlier, the congressman had also written Philhealth this time reminding the latter of the P134.6 million it owed to the state-run hospital.

The congressman, in an earlier letter addressed to Morales, said he learned about the remaining balance from CLMMRH chief of hospital Julius Drilon.

The amount remaining balance could go long way in procuring medical equipment in the fight against CoVid.

The money, if claimed, could be used to buy extraction kits, test, personal protective equipment, and others that are needed for use in the regional hospital’s molecular laboratory. The unsettled claim could greatly hamper operations since consumables in the hospital is at P7 million per month, the congressman added.
