Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF), also known as Dungganon, celebrates International Women’s Month with a series of virtual programs and activities.
NWTF’s Executive Director Suzzette Gaston believes that going digital is “the way forward”, saying, “Everyone is on social media nowadays, and we believe it is the best way we can reach more women. To remind them that they have a vital role in the society.”
The kick-off for the month-long activities of NWTF will be on 8 March 2020, the day International Women’s Day is commemorated all over the world.
On 8 March itself, the NWTF has scheduled motivational talks, poetry readings, a feature on community of women, and the relaunch of the Dungganon Theme Song.
Scheduled posts for the segments will be made available on all our social media platforms: Facebook, Linked, Twitter and IG.
The segments are: Wizdom of Women on Wednesdays, which include sharing inspiring stories of women across the Philippines and how they overcame the challenges they faced in life; Women of the Philippines, which feature women from different backgrounds to show their faces and tell their stories; Women Defined: A virtual Art Gallery, which uses art as a medium depicting the roles of women in today’s world and how they are celebrated; the Comic Artwork Series: Life stages of a Woman — illustrating the stages women go through in life and emphasizing on the values they learn along the way.
