The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers connected to Hilangban Feeder 4 that maintenance activities will be conducted on 24 October, Saturday, causing a nine-hour power outage from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Areas Affected under HF4 are the whole area of Bacong and portions of Ma-ao including portion of Rizal St. (only near crossing Bacong), portion of Araneta St. (only near crossing Bacong), Purok Riverside and Pandan I, II, III and IV.
“This is to ensure stability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions,” the advisory said.
Reasons for the maintenance are the conversion of 46-spans single phase to three phase primary line with its accessories, installation of 3-50kVA distribution transformer together with its secondary metering and stringing of secondary drop.
Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, they should provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge
