The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will shutdown its 100MVA Power Transformer No. 1 at Bacolod substation on 12 September Sunday, from 6 am to 6 pm.
The press statement from the Central Negros Electric Cooperative said to avoid overloading of the remaining 100MVA Power Transformer Number 2, NGCP is scheduling a power service interruption that will affect CENECO’s Alijis, Murcia, Sum-ag and Lag-asan substations.
Areas Affected are those along the Bacolod-San Enrique 69kV Transmission Line.

The NGCP will conduct interfacing and integrity testing as part of replacement of Power Circuit Breaker (PCB) at Bacolod substation;
preventive maintenance and correction of defects for Bacolod-San Enrique 69kV line and its associated high voltage equipment including protection and secondary devices;
and correction of defects for Bacolod-Alijis associated high voltage equipment including protection and secondary devices
Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned off for safety reasons.
When electricity supply resumes, they are to provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
