NGCP, CENECO set 12-hour power interruption on Saturday

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) and Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. warn of up to 12 hours power interruption on Saturday.

Areas affected from 6 am to 6 pm are Burgos Feeder 4, or a portion of Circumferential Road – between Buri Road, and Valley of Peace.

Power interruption from 6 am to 10 am will be experienced in BF1, or Villa Homes, Buena Park, Glenwood Subd., Villa Angela, Villa Angela Relocation Site, Regent Pearl, River Walk, Helvetia Heights, Savemore, Hi Strip Building, Panasiatic Solutions, East Block, Lopue’s East Annex (Bowling Center), Patria Village, Trinity Christian School, New Government Center (NGC), Lopue’s East Building, Gonzaga Subd., Morata’s Photography, Burgos St. (from Circumferential Road to Lopez Jaena), Rio Compound, Chinese Temple, portion of BMMC (Burgos Entrance).

NGCP and CENECO will conduct erection of two 70-foot steel poles to elevate the 138kV Bacolod-E.B. Magalona transmission line and provide proper clearance for Bacolod-Mt. View 69kV sub-transmission line

Concessionaires affected are advised to turn off power switches for safety reasons as well provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
