BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines — The National Electrification Administration (NEA) during this year’s Golden Digital Award has recognized various electric cooperatives in the country for “exemplary performance” in specific areas.
One of which is the Lowest Residential Rate Award given to Central Negros Electric Cooperative(CENECO) for the whole Visayas.
This recognition pertains to CENECO “giving utmost priority on the best interest and welfare of the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) by having the lowest residential rate without sacrificing the EC’s financial and operational viability.”
The Cooperative is also a recipient of the “EC with Advanced Payment to NEA”, “EC with Fully Liquidated Subsidy Fund”, “Rural Electrification Program Distinction”, “Outstanding EC” and “Best Region of the Year (Region VI)” awards.
A press release from CENECO said the awards were received by CENECO Board President Dwight A. Carbon, Acting General Manager Ervin Stan Leo P. Ticar and NEA Project Supervisor Cesar Faeldon.
