BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police reported a man, 50, was found dead, possibly a victim of drowning in a part of the Binalbagan River, in front of his house in Moises Padilla town.
The town police reported to Camp Montelibano that the victim was drunk when he took a bath in the river and was found dead around 5:30pm on 3 April 2024.
Doctors declared the man dead when he reached the hospital.
In Ikog town, a drinking session turned bloody when two men, aged 28 and 37, reported to be very drunk were stabbed by their drinking companion who was later arrested by police.
Death, however, also came for a man in Bago City who was described by police as a “flockman” but was hacked and mauled by two attackers from Murcia town, one a co-worker also aged 43.
The victim, 43, was attacked on 1 April 2024 in the village of Abuanan where he was hit with a bolo in the head and punched several times.
The victim was treated for his wounds at the hospital and released on the same day but was admitted again the next day for shortness of breathing.
He died early morning of the next day.
Victim was rushed to the hospital but declared dead upon arrival.
