The Rotary Club of Bacolod inaugurated a Median Island on Laos Elementary School, Brgy. Binobohan, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental on Saturday, April 27, 2024   with officials describing it as the first of many upgrades and beautification projects by the Rotary Club of Bacolod.

Th Laos ES Median Island is a biophilic architectural approach conceptualized of a butterfly metamorphosis that means the physical development and transformation from a sleepy to a beautiful Barangay Binobohan.

The architectural median island  is designed by Young Architect Clyde de Guzman, son of Past President & Architect Jose Glenn de Guzman, UAP while the construction was undertaken by the people of Brgy. Binobohan.

Leading the inauguration where PDG Edgar Sy and Arch. Clyde de Guzman assisted by Hope President Michelle Medrano, Incoming President Marjorie Dino, Past President & Club Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Past President & Club Director Pauline Cuaycong,  Past President Jose Glenn de Guzman, Treasurer Mae Eras, Rotarians Eroll Arroyo, Jet Pili and Jennie Buan, incoming Baby Rotarians Sam Solon,  Dexter and Louise. Also present is Brgy. Capt. Elmer Catong and Barangay Officials,  teachers led by Mr. Lorgy Magdalino and Ms.Amy Carbero from Binobohan National High School amd Laos Elementary School and the community volunteers.

The inauguration of Laos ES Median Island culminated  in the distribution of school supplies, tokens, used clothings and vitamins.
