BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod Cong. Greg Gasataya has asked the National Irrigation Administration to expedite the implementation of projects for farmers in Bacolod.
The congressman made the appeal in a virtual meeting with NIA representatives yesterday, a news release from the lawmaker’s social media page said.
Gasataya cited as example the NIA’s project in Alangilan village which has not been completed until now.

The congressman, who is the vice-chairman for the Committee on Appropriations, also expressed concern over the unused funds of NIA for projects that have not been implemented despite the allocation, or for possible misuse of the budget.
