BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Physician Chris Soromgon has confirmed that his swab results for COVID came out positive just a moment ago though his treatment for mild symptoms started since last night inside a private hospital here.

Sorongon, the spokesman of City Hall’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), said he could have possibly contracted the virus from two events.

One was when he oversaw the crowd at a public school where people were registering for the national identification system.

The other was when he went inside a milktea shop to remind the owner of health protocols after he saw food delivery drivers massing outside it.

Below is an excerpt of an interview by DNX last month with Sorongon.
