It gives me great pride to let you know that we are taking a step forward in our editorial content with the rollout of DNX iNvestigates, the first dedicated investigative reports section on a digital platform in Western Visayas.
As an investigative and in-depth section, DNX iNvestigates will shed light on issues of public interest that concern you, me, everybody.
It seeks to shine a light on issues that are uncovered, undercovered, or less understood even if these issues affect our daily lives.
It is not the typical “investigative” reporting where we catch people doing an illegal act or do a report based on the investigation report of the police.
Those are not part of investigative journalism.
Nor do we plan to shame people, both private and public, and pass it off as public service.
We will come out with long-form or investigative articles that will be supplemented by video, audio or infographics.
Multimedia. Multiplatform.
DNX iNvestigates will give life to the canon that journalists must not only inform readers about what they “want” to know but also what they “should” know.
This is for you.
For us to see clearer in 2020.
