BACOLOD CITY - Police said two to four village-level officials here have been linked to illegal drugs based on community-contributed information.

Local spokesman Ariel Pico told DNX they are processing the information given to various police stations and the barangays through community dropboxes by which any resident can submit information.

Pico said these officials will be subjected to Tokhang, a portmanteau for “toktok (knock) ” and “hangyo (invite)” – the codename for the police operation in which identified personalities will be asked to cooperate with authorities.

He did not identify these officials or their specific positions.

The term has been more identified, however, with extra-judicial killing at the start of the Duterte administration.
