COVID Monthly Wrap: Negros Occidental remains at Alert Level 2; 11 areas under Level 1

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The National Inter Agency Task Force has recently extended the COVID 19 alert level of Negros occidental to 2 while 11 localities were downgraded to Alert Level 1 until 15 July 2022.

These are the cities of Cadiz, Talisay, Victorias, La Carlota, Sagay and the towns of EB Magalona, Candoni, Pontevedra, Pulupandan, San Enrique and Valladolid.

For the whole month of June 2022, the Provincial Incident and Management team has reported a total of 71 new cases and one death.

It also said current active COVID cases is at 18.

Since the pandemic began in March 2020 until today, the PIMT has recorded 41,525 total cases, 1,971 deaths and 39,535 recoveries.

The province has noted a drastic drop on COVID cases over the last three months.
