“It is flu season if we have noticed. The humidity is not regulated so the best thing is you develop your healthy lifestyle, you take adequate rest, drink vitamins and eat the right kinds of food,” Tan said.

The environment and sanitation head added that when someone has a flu, he must isolate himself from the public and take a rest.

“My advice is when you are sick, avoid going to public places, avoid going to school, or to work so that you cannot spread illnesses,” Tan said.

Tan also reminded the public to practice the frequent use of 70 percent alcohol or alcohol-based sanitizer when going outside, while water and soap are still the best for sanitation.

“When it comes to sanitation, water and soap are better than alcohol but we have no choice when we are outside, we should use it to sanitize ourselves,” she added.
