Capitol identifies offices with COVID-positive staff

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Three doctors and a administrative staff in a government-run hospital, one each from the provincial health and veterinary offices and several others in various departments are among the 11 COVID-positive employees in nine offices of Capitol.

The three physicians and an administrative staff are assigned in the Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

Another employee of the provincial health office was also tested positive while one each are positive in the following offices: disaster and risk reduction management, public information, provincial council, veterinarian, bids and awards committee, and one watchman.

Lawyer-administrator Rayfrando Diaz Jr. had told DNX earlier that these employees are already quarantined.

Provincial spokesperson Charina Tan released the list today after Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson ordered a shutdown of Capitol until Sunday to allow disinfection procedures over the provincial administrative center.
