BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental Philippines – Camingawan is the runaway winner for the Sinulog Tribal Competition 2023, grabbing the top prize along with five other awards.
Camingawan bested seven other tribes, as it bagged not just the championship trophy but was also judged Best in Street Dancing, Best in Choreography, Best in Costume, Best in Tribal Banner, and Best in Tribal Queen.
First runner-up was Tapi, followed by Binicuil at second runner-up with barangay 6 as third runner-up.
Barangay (village) 6 also won a Special Award for the Designer.
Other barangays that joined are 1, 3, and Tan-awan.
Meanwhile, Tabugon bagged the championship trophy for the Fluvial Parade Competition 2023.
Hilamonan was judged first runner-up up while barangay Daan Banwa was second runner-up.
Tabugon also won Most Unique and Best in Religiosity, and barangay 8 was Best in Discipline.
