Twenty-five barangays in Negros Occidental are set to receive humanitarian aid of up to P25 million from the ELCAC-Barangay Development program.
This was according to the official statement of Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, as he reaffirmed his “full support” to continue funding the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
Lacson, in a statement, said he knows that the program “seeks to spur development in the rural countryside so that the impoverished barangays” may experience “sustainable growth and relief”.
