BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia agreed to synchronize efforts in implementing precautionary measures against COVID-19, a press release from the Bacolod City PIO furnished to DNX says.
Part of these efforts would be the means to fast-track the delivery of food and medical supplies to those manning the check-up points.
The meeting between two heads, which happened Tuesday, 17March at the Provincial Capitol discussed the coordination between the provincial and city governments to ease implementation of policies on how to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
They were joined by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz, City Administrator Em Ang, and City Legal Officer Joselito Bayatan.
