BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental – An anti-drug bust in Silay City led to the arrest of another City Hall employee, tge third so far, as the wave of operations of the City Drug Enforcement Unit while in the neifhboring city of Talisay, police also nabbed an alleged drug peddler in Dos Hermanas village.
Silay Police chief, Lieutenant Colonel Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca reported to Camp Montelibano that the employee, whose name was withheld, is a cleaner at City Hall.
The suspect was arrested in an operation in one of the haciendas in Silay around noontime yesterday after more than two weeks of watching him.
Meanwhile suspected peddler Rodillo Alog also fell to police in nearby Talisay City where he was nabbed in Dos Hermanas village.
Police seized suspected meth worth more than P10,000 from him.
Also yesterday, down south in La Castellana town, Rodillo Pineda and Gerald Sarmiento were playing a game of cards when Pineda, reported to be intoxicated, stabbed Sarmiento on the chest and hands.
The knife used was found by police with blood stains but Pineda was nowhere to be by Sarmiento was brought to the hospital.
