ADVISORY FOR PCG APPLICANTS

It has come to the attention of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) that certain organizations and personalities are claiming to have authority on the recruitment of Coast Guard personnel.

Based on reports relayed to the PCG, these groups and individuals utilize social media platforms, specifically Facebook, to illegally disseminate recruitment updates and/or status of applications, thereby causing misinformation.

Please be informed that the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC) has the SOLE AUTHORITY to conduct any activity related to the recruitment of Coast Guard personnel.

The CGHRMC utilizes the Facebook page, to provide latest updates and other necessary information to aspiring Coast Guard trainees.

Moreover, the official Facebook page of the PCG, managed by the Coast Guard Public Affairs (CGPA), supports the CGHRMC in disseminating information regarding the recruitment process, as well as in addressing concerns of Coast Guard applicants.

AS OF TODAY, 30 MARCH 2021, THE PCG RECRUITMENT REMAINS SUSPENDED AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE AMID THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE SCHEDULE FOR ITS RESUMPTION IS YET TO BE FINALIZED.

The PCG requests the public to be cautious and vigilant, and to report any suspicious social media page or account that disseminates recruitment updates and/or provide status of applications, apart from the abovementioned authorized Facebook pages.
