BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental — The Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis of the City Government of Bacolod done after the 30 September 2025 earthquake found that of 70 inspected schools, four with one classroom each have structural damage and were declared unsafe.
Five have minor cracks while two have existing ones, although all these are declared safe for occupancy. No structural damage was found in all other buildings, including 13 bridges, that were inspected.
No structural damage was found on the following: Bacolod City Government Center, Bacolod City Police Office, BJMP Taculing, Bacolod North Public Market, Bacolod South Public Market, Bacolod Central Public Market, Bacolod City College, Sum-ag Campus, and Bacolod City Public Plaza.
The following have minor cracks but are safe for occupancy: BJMP Handumanan, Bacolod City College Taculing Campus, Bacolod City Health Office, Bacolod City Mental Healthcare Center, and Bacolod City Hall of Justice.
