BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer has vowed to work for the revocation of the appointment to the Sugar Board of a Negrense planter who campaigned against sitting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“I will see to it that it will be revoked,” Ferrer, a personal consultant of Marcos in Western Visayas told DNX days after Gerardo Valderrama was appointed as Sugar Board member.

The Capitol official, a key campaigner of Marcos Jr for the recent polls, also dared Valderrama to resign from his position.

“He should have felt ashamed to have been appointed. He badmouthed the President during the campaign but when he was appointed it seems as if nothing happened,” Ferrer pointed out.

Ferrer said Valderrama should have never accepted the offer in the first place since he doesn’t believe in the president from the start.

He added that he respects BBM’s decision that shows how “good he is as a person because he appointed even the person who spoke ill of him. “

Ferrer said he reacted to Valderrama’s appointment after he was informed that the sugar planter had been spreading rumors that he will work for the revocation of Valderrama’s appointment.

“He started this by spreading rumors against me. He wanted this now I will really work for the revocation of his appointment.”

Valderrama cannot be reached yet by DNX for comment.
