BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The number of PUMs as of 25 March is now 1614, with one new admission for PUI.
Of the PUMs, 348 has finished home quarantine, with 1266 still ongoing.
The new admission is a 27 year old female, with exposure to Patient 1. This brings the total number of PUIs since the start of monitoring last 2 February to 27.
Eight PUIs are currently confined in isolation units in different hospitals (six males, two females), all Filipinos. All are in stable condition.
One PUI has been tested positive (56 yr old, male with travel history to London). Six previously admitted PUIs have travel history to Manila, Quezon City, Dumaguete, USA with two having exposure to Patient 1. (READ: COVID19 BACOLOD RUNDOWN: 24 March 2020)
One has been discharged with improve conditions but advised for continued home quarantine.
One, a 60-year-old male, with Stage 4 colon Cancer, was tagged as PUI, and expired due to difficulty of breathing last 17 March. Patient had no history of travel or contact with confirmed case.
Total number of specimens sent is 25 with the following results: one positive (confirmed), 15 negative, nine pending. (READ: UPDATE: Bacolod PUMs now at 1526, 1 new PUI admitted)
Testing was not done in two PUIs due to inavailability of swab kits at the time they were admitted and having symptoms.
