BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The number of PUMs in Bacolod is now at 1526, with one new PUI.
The new PUI is a 69-year-old male with exposure to PUMs from Manila.
This brings the total number of PUIs admitted since 2 Febuary, 2020 at 26 (11 females, 15 males).
There are eight PUIs currently confined in isolation units in different hospitals, (six males, two females), all Filipinos.
All patients are in stable condition.
Of the 24, 15 tested negative, one tested positive while six are pending.
Testing was not done in two PUIs due to inavailability of swab kits at the time they were admitted.
Samples from two patients are due for transport to laboratory 25 March.
The one confirmed case is the 56 year old male with travel history to London.
One 60-year-old male, with Stage 4 colon Cancer who was tagged as PUI, expired due to difficulty of breathing, 17 March, 2020.
Patient had no history of travel or contact with confirmed case.
There were six previously admitted PUIs, with travel history to Manila, Quezon City, Dumaguete, USA and two with exposure to Patient 1.
