Provincial disaster czar tests positive for CoViD-19

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The head of the Provincial Disaster Management Office tested positive for CoViD-19, necessitating shutdown in certain offices of the Negros Occidental Provincial Government.

The Office of the Governor, with 15 employees,  the Provincial Administrator’s Office, and the Provincial Disaster and Risk Management Office were shut down today, Capitol Spokesperson Charina Magallanes-Tan said.

This was after the Provincial Disaster czar Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian, who heads the Provincial Incident Management Team, tested positive for CoViD-19 tested.

His results came out this morning.

Tan added that Caelian was swabbed not because he had symptoms but because he was getting ready for vaccination.
