NGCP, CENECO sets 12-hour power interruption on Saturday in Bago

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is scheduling a 12-hour power service interruption affecting CENECO’s Hilangban Substation on Saturday, 24 October 2020.

CENECO will also take advantage of the downtime to implement simultaneous maintenance activities.

Power outage will start from 6 am to 6 pm. Areas affected are Hilangban Feeder 1, which includes portion of Lag-asan, Balingasag, Bago City College, Prk. Kapahuan 1 & 2, Bago City Hospital, Prk. Santan, San Esteban Phase 2, Sta. Catalina Subdivision, Sampinit, CF1, CF2, San Gabriel Subd., Villa Cristita, Carmella Homes, Prk. Camingawan, Prk. San Francisco, Calumanggan, Prk. Flower, Prk. Paraiso, Taloc, Prk, Newton, Cawayanan.

HF2 The whole area of Bago City including San Esteban Phase 1, Brgy. Poblacion, Pta. Playa, Prk. Batad, Prk. Malipayon, Baywalk.

HF3 Crossing Ubay, Bago Eco-Center, Humberto’s Resort, Hda. Pili, Pacol, Bagroy, Sagasa, Caridad, Allanza, Don Jorge Araneta (Central Ma-ao);

HF4 which includes Lag-asan relocation site, Napoles, Malingin, Crossing Mining, Ma-ao, Villa Cresteta, Bacong, Binobuhan, Mailum, Ilijan, Viva Mineral Water, Buenos Aires Resort, Manghumay, PNOC-EDC

Reasons are the NGCP Preventive Maintenance Servicing on Calumangan-San Enrique 69kV Transmission line;

Replacement of rotten poles on HF1, HF2, HF3, and HF4 for safety; and,
line tree clearing activities on HF1, HF2, HF3 and HF4.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons.

When electricity supply resumes, consumers should provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
