Musicians are singing a happy tune again as restrictions on the arts and entertainment scene are easing up and with election season finally upon us.

Musical artist Jun Hinojas said the upcoming elections had provided opportunities for musical artists to perform as candidates tap them for gigs.

“This is a good sign,” Hinojas said as he revealed that there is in fact a scarcity of musicians now that the music industry is back in business.

Hinojas is part of the United Bacolod Musicians, a group of artists that banded together to promote music and raise awareness on the plight of musicians in the city.

The local arts and music industry has been one of the hardest when the pandemic struck, as restrictions made it impossible for acts to perform live.
