Tropical Depression Marilyn, which has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 9:30 a.m. today, is less likely to make landfall during its forecast period, weather bureau PAGASA reveals in its severe weather update.
The center of the tropical depression is identified at 1,355 km East of Casiguran, Aurora. It is moving northwest at 25 kph with sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
By 9 am tomorrow, Marilyn will be expected to be at 115 km East of Aparri, Cagayan.

PAGASA reminds residents of the areas affected, especially those living in flood- or landslide-prone areas to take precautionary measures as well as coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices for their own safety.
Potentially rough sea conditions would make sea travel, especially for small seacrafts, risky. Areas identified with such conditions are over the central and eastern seaboards of Visayas and the northern, eastern and southern seaboards of Mindanao.
