Carlos Hilado Memorial State University won 2nd Place in the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) Contest for Best Practices with the theme “Development of Drug Free Learning Institutions in Region VI for AY 2022 – 2023,” organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VI in collaboration with the Dangerous Drugs Board.
Elmer A. Gumban, PhD, CHMSU National Service Training Program and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Director, received the Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the university during the awarding ceremony held at Robinson’s Jaro Activity Center, Jaro, Iloilo City on June 2, 2023.
The award was given for CHMSU’s note-worthy efforts in institutionalizing plans, programs, and projects on anti-illegal drugs in line with Executive Order No. 66, s. 2018. The recognition also highlighted the university’s relevant and innovative initiatives that have created an impact to students and faculty on drug education, prevention, and control.
